Unfortunately, I'm guessing they will just bury the results when it doesn't go the way they want. At least, that seems to be the trend with many religiously-oriented polls. Oh well. At least we'll give the person doing the poll something to think about.
Vjack, this is true. At least they won't be able to use this poll as evidence of the great things the Catholic Church has done.
I was pleased to see the gap wasn't nearly as big as I thought it would be.
Does good include widespread pedophilia and coverups so that it may continue? Does good include promoting the production of children with no means to feed them? Does good mean the cause of AIDS spreading throughout Africa? Perhaps good includes working with the nazis to rape and pillage noncatholics…
The Catholic Church has a designed-in flaw: celibacy of clergy. Arrogance prevents its abolition, as it promotes homosexuality and pedophilia. They ought to be sued in Federal Court for marriage rights and for the protection of normal people.
When donations drop, Catholic Hospitals have resorted to fraud (rampant at Mercy Hosp., Port Jervis, NY), being non-profit, and the least successful industry.
