Quote of The Day II
I’m realizing that everything I’ve ever written about religion’s harm boils down to one thing.
It’s this: Religion is ultimately dependent on belief in invisible beings, inaudible voices, intangible entities, undetectable forces, and events and judgments that happen after we die.
It therefore has no reality check.
And it is therefore uniquely armored against criticism, questioning, and self- correction. It is uniquely armored against anything that might stop it from spinning into extreme absurdity, extreme denial of reality … and extreme, grotesque immorality.”

Maybe I've just been reading too many essays and books by prominent free thinkers in the last three years but that quote from Ms. Christina (no idea who that is) seems a lot like the same stuff I've heard in every other atheist tract. But that may be faulty memory.
Yes, I agree. However, the vast majority of my readers are still believers. Sometimes I have to beat a dead horse.
I'm surprised about your readership! And here I thought you were only preaching to the choir. tee hee.
Cheers.
If I recall, Ms. Christina had an awesome article responding to that perennial question "Why are you atheists always so angry?"…it was a joyous rant and a pleasure to read.
