Episcopal Church appoints lesbian bishop
Congratulations to the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, for ordaining and appointing Rev. Canon Mary D. Glasspool as their first openly lesbian bishop. You can read the article here.
The joy on her face is beautiful (she is on the right). I hope she is the first of many, and wish the rest of the religious community would put aside their hatred. In 20 or 30 years when homosexuality is accepted and gay marriage is embraced, churches will reinterpret the Bible just like they did with slavery, women’s rights, and respect for children.
Even so, come quickly acceptance. Oh be swift, love.

Good news!
Believing that someone should not be in a leadership position in the church because they are in a homosexual relationship is not necessarily the same thing as hatred. It is possible to hate the sin of homosexuality and love the person who engages in it.
